So it’s 4AM, my brain wakes up with the never-ending to do list running through my head of what’s next… The joys of running a business and having a young family, there always seems like there is something more pressing to organise, support or do. I take a deep breath and remember that we are under control. Why now? Biz Cloud have just moved into a new office, our own space! We have been through a couple of Shared Offices as we have grown and it has been difficult running outside to take phone calls when I need space to talk, catching up with staff and clients in coffee shops with the joys of the hustle and bustle around.
PHEW…. We have made it! For the first time in my business career, I’m proud to say we are a real team. We have learnt the value of space and companionship, how important it is to work together as a team and the excitement of supporting our customers through some big impacting projects. Here are some of the real things I like to see in our Biz Cloud team culture:
- Hiring the Right personalities with the right Skills
A company culture starts with the people you hire. The people that we hire at Biz Cloud need to have excellent experience and the right skills for that particular role they are filling, but more importantly they need to have a great personality and a positive outlook on life. We look for resilient and interesting people with great stories and ideas who will work hard in a team environment. The person that is right for any particular role will show signs that represent the Biz Cloud brand and therefore are hired to grow and strengthen the Biz Cloud team.
- Living the Biz Cloud Brand
The Biz Cloud Brand represents positivity, determination, resilience, innovation, dedication, loyalty, honesty, trust, focus and creativity. Living by the brand means always remembering what Biz Cloud stands for and how you are helping to strengthen the business through these values. It also means encouraging the rest of the team to understand and represent the brand.
- Growing Together
Every person at Biz Cloud has their own personality, sense of humour, values and skills. At Biz Cloud we believe that self-improvement and introspection is of huge importance for everyone and we want to make sure that people reach their goals both in and outside of work. As our organisation grows we encourage our staff to learn and develop new skills on their own and to talk to each other when they want to share knowledge or need a second opinion.
- Environment
In 2016 alone we have moved from a shared office environment to our own private office as our staff numbers have grown. Already we are seeing a huge difference in productivity and employee satisfaction, having our own space has provided us with the room we need to grow and develop our business.
We have a very open working environment which makes it easy to talk to each other when one of us needs help with anything. We encourage staff to be empathetic of each other and create connections so that you feel happy asking each other for advice or to help on that super cool spreadsheet you have been putting together all morning.
- Working for the Greater Cause
Sure it’s great that we all get along and have fun, but we often find ourselves facing some challenging projects. We remind ourselves, that we can trust each other’s abilities and strengths and this compliments our delivery. We all want to help each other and will put in the time whether it’s staying late to finish entering some data, sitting together to talk through a problem or asking for advice on ideas you may not have thought of. If we are working together then we are utilising a base of knowledge and ideas that you aren’t going to find online.
The culture at Biz Cloud is important to us because we care about your Organisation and so hire staff that will do the same. We develop our team to work hard and work together to provide the best SaaS solutions and project management for you and your business.
If you think you have the personality and the skills for our organisation, please email us at enquiries@bccl.co.nz or check out our website: www.bccl.co.nz.

Howdy! This blog post couldn’t be written much better!
Looking through this post reminds me of my previous roommate!
He constantly kept preaching about this. I will forward
this information to him. Fairly certain he’s going to have a great read.
Many thanks for sharing!
